Sydney day 2

July 14, 2009

Sorry I didn’t blog last night. I was just so wonderfully and incredibly exhausted!

What a busy day!!!

We spent most of the day at Manly Beach learning about reading the waves and the Life Savers, playing beach games, hiking, taking in gorgeous views, and of course SURFING! They even treated us and another (older) delegation to a BBQ lunch.

Then we “power shopped” for aussie souvenirs before we headed to Mrs. Macquarie’s chair for a wonderful view of the Harbour Bridge, Opera House, and harbour.

Before we knew it we were off again to Costellos to learn about opals and had an opportunity to buy some wonderful presents. (You may notice this stop on our credit cards!)

We had dinner at Darling Harbour and had a chance to celebrate Wyatt’s and Clayton’s birthday.

The evening was spent doing laundry, playing cards, watching tv (Harry Potter was on), and hopefully showering.

We are off again today to explore Sydney. We are already teary eyed that this is our last day down under. We are ready to see all of you but not ready to leave Oz!

WE WERE SO EXCITED FOR ZAC TO GO ON THIS TRIP. WE’VE REALLY ENJOYED READING ABOUT HIS ACTIVITIES EACH DAY AND SEEING THE PICTURES.

    THANK YOU,
